Designing the "Kokoszka" Respite Care Home in Wrocław, Sołtysowice, was a unique experience aimed at creating a friendly and stimulating environment for patients, especially children. I had the pleasure of working on the "Tiger" room project, which was designed as a sensory activation space.
In the "Tiger" room, I chose vibrant and energizing colors such as green and orange, which harmonize beautifully with the surrounding nature—the greenery and trees visible outside the window. These intense colors not only bring life and energy to the room but also have a positive impact on the patients' well-being and emotions.
When designing the hospice with younger patients in mind, we focused on a variety of colors to create a warm and inviting environment that can help alleviate stress and improve psychological comfort during their stay. Our goal was to create a space that not only meets the functional needs of the patients but also stimulates their senses and encourages positive experiences during challenging times in their lives.
